The Commercial Committee of Asharqia Chamber of Commerce chose Hani Al-Afaliq as its Chairman by acclamation and Fuad Al-Mulhim as a Vice-Chairman.
The first meeting of the Committee at the current session of the Board of Directors held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the headquarter of Asharqia Chamber in Dammam. The attendees listened to the rules governing the committees and the mechanism of their work during the current four years.
The Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, opened the first meeting of the Committee by expressing the hope that the Commercial Committee will achieve the ambitions of the chamber's subscribers and the aspirations of the commercial sector in adopting its issues and solving its problems. He added, "The challenges are great. The ambitions are great. And the confidence of the country's leadership in the chamber, the chamber committees, and the private sector is unlimited."
He mentioned that the commercial activity in the Eastern Region is growing day by day; "this holds us a great responsibility." Therefore, the trade committee is one of the most significant committees of the chamber, "on which we rely a lot."
